Coaching 101

There a reason we’ve focused at EvangeLead so much on coaching. It’s not what you think.

The reason we’ve focused so much on coaching of pastors, lay people, church groups, etc. is because evangelism is the bread and butter of what really reaches people and brings them into the Adventist Church. It is really the ONLY thing designed within the context of Adventism that will help people make a decision for Christ and become members on a large scale. Plus it’s replicable. In other words, almost anyone can make it happen.

However, as we’ve watched more and more, people are coming out of seminary and seminars saying that this form of reaching people does not work. And when we watch what they do and call it evangelism, we now know why it’s not working.

The coaching is simply about showing 3-5 things that make a key difference in whether the evangelism you do is effective or not. Too many people do it wrong and then declare that evangelism doesn’t work any more. They. Would. Be. Wrong.

All around the country we’ve coaching people ion Pennsylvania, Arizona, Indiana, Maryland, Oregon and Washington are finding the principles we teach are helping them do it better. We’ve even had some people we’ve coached from Romania and the West Indies.
