Evangelism still works.
People are still searching. Communities are still filled with people asking questions about God, purpose, the future, and truth. The gospel still has the power to transform lives.
But effective evangelism doesn’t just happen.
It takes intentionality. It takes leadership. It takes planning. And perhaps most importantly, it takes pastors and churches who believe that reaching people is central to the mission of the church.
That is why EvangeLead exists.
What We Do
EvangeLead helps pastors, churches, and ministry leaders become more effective at evangelism.
Our goal isn’t simply to convince churches to conduct another evangelistic event. We want to help develop an evangelistic culture—one in which reaching people becomes part of the ongoing life and mission of the church.
We do this through several interconnected areas.
We Coach Pastors
Evangelism can be intimidating, particularly for pastors who have never conducted their own evangelistic series or who have struggled to see results in the past.
EvangeLead provides practical coaching from people who actually do evangelism.
We help pastors think through questions such as:
- How do I prepare my church for evangelism?
- How do we increase attendance?
- How do I develop interests before the meetings begin?
- How do I preach evangelistically and make appeals?
- How do we organize volunteers effectively?
- How do we follow up with people who attend?
- How do we move people from attendance to decisions and discipleship?
- How do we make evangelism part of our church culture rather than a once-a-year program?
Our emphasis is practical. We want pastors to finish the process thinking, “I can do this.”
We Train Churches
Successful evangelism isn’t just the pastor’s responsibility.
The entire church can participate.
EvangeLead helps churches understand how members can use their relationships, gifts, influence, and personal networks to reach people for Christ.
That means moving evangelism away from the idea that we simply hire an evangelist, send some advertising, hold meetings, and hope people come.
Instead, we want churches asking:
Who has God already placed in our lives—and how can we intentionally lead those people toward Jesus?
When church members become personally invested in reaching people, evangelism changes.
It becomes personal.
We Provide Practical Evangelism Resources
Evangelism involves hundreds of decisions.
Advertising. Scheduling. Topics. Registration. Greeters. Children’s programs. Follow-up. Bible studies. Appeals. Visitation. Baptism preparation. Discipleship.
You don’t have to reinvent all of it.
EvangeLead exists to share strategies, systems, resources, and lessons learned through actual evangelistic ministry. We want pastors and churches to benefit from what others have already discovered—both successes and failures.
We also have funding to help you do it right. We’ve consistently given grants of $15,000-20,000 for your evangelism needs on top of what your church of conference gives.
We Create a Community of Evangelistic Leaders
One of the greatest resources pastors have is each other.
There are pastors, evangelists, and ministry leaders across the church who are experimenting, learning, adapting, and discovering effective ways to reach people.
EvangeLead seeks to connect those leaders.
Through coaching, training, conversations, and our Evangelism Think Tank, we want to create an environment where practitioners can ask:
What’s working?
What’s not working?
What are we learning?
What should we try next?
We don’t believe anyone has evangelism completely figured out. We believe we become better when we learn together.
Why We Do It
EvangeLead ultimately exists for one reason:
People need Jesus.
Programs aren’t the mission.
Meetings aren’t the mission.
Attendance isn’t the mission.
Even baptismal numbers, important as they are, aren’t the ultimate mission.
People are the mission.
Jesus commissioned His followers to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).
That commission belongs to the entire church.
Yet pastors often face enormous pressures. Sermons have to be prepared. Boards have to meet. Members need care. Buildings need attention. Budgets have to balance. Staff need leadership. Conflicts have to be resolved.
Without intentionality, evangelism can easily become something we believe in deeply but practice occasionally.
EvangeLead exists to help change that.
We want to help pastors move evangelism from something else they should be doing to something that becomes an intentional, sustainable part of their ministry.
And we want to help churches rediscover the excitement of seeing people meet Jesus, accept biblical truth, make decisions for Christ, and become active disciples themselves.
Why Public Evangelism Still Matters
At EvangeLead, we believe strongly in personal evangelism, relationships, Bible studies, community engagement, and friendship evangelism.
But we also believe public evangelism still matters.
Public evangelism creates a moment of decision.
It brings biblical truth into focus. It gives people an opportunity to investigate Scripture systematically. It creates spiritual momentum within a congregation. It gives church members a reason to invite friends, relatives, coworkers, and neighbors.
And when public evangelism is connected with personal evangelism, something powerful happens.
The public proclamation of the Word and the personal influence of relationships begin working together.
That combination is at the heart of much of what EvangeLead teaches.
What’s the Benefit to You?
If you’re a pastor, EvangeLead can help you become a more confident and capable evangelistic leader.
You don’t have to figure everything out alone. You can learn from people who have conducted evangelism, made mistakes, adjusted their approach, and continued learning.
If you’re a church leader, EvangeLead can help your congregation develop a more intentional culture of outreach.
Instead of evangelism being something the church occasionally schedules, it can become part of who your church is.
If you’re a conference or denominational leader, EvangeLead can help you invest in pastors rather than simply invest in events.
That distinction matters.
Funding another evangelistic meeting may produce one evangelistic meeting.
Developing an evangelistic pastor can produce decades of evangelism.
When we train a pastor to understand evangelism, lead evangelism, preach evangelistically, mobilize members, make appeals, conduct follow-up, and disciple new believers, we’re investing in something that can multiply for years.
And when that pastor teaches another pastor, trains another leader, or develops another evangelistic congregation, the impact multiplies again.
We’re Not Trying to Build EvangeLead. We’re Trying to Build Evangelists.
This distinction is important to us.
Our ultimate goal isn’t for churches to become dependent on EvangeLead.
Success is when they don’t need us anymore.
We want pastors to gain the experience, confidence, tools, and skills necessary to lead evangelism themselves.
We want churches to discover that evangelism isn’t something reserved for specialists.
We want members to experience the joy of seeing someone they personally know come to Christ.
And we want a new generation of pastors to believe again that evangelism isn’t merely possible—it is one of the greatest privileges of ministry.
The Opportunity Before Us
The world is changing rapidly.
The methods we used yesterday will not automatically reach the people of tomorrow. That doesn’t mean the mission has changed. It means we must continue learning how to fulfill that mission effectively.
That’s why EvangeLead is committed to experimentation, collaboration, coaching, training, and continual improvement.
We want to preserve what works.
We want to improve what can work better.
We want to question assumptions that may no longer be effective.
And above all, we want to keep asking:
How can we reach more people for Jesus?
Because behind every statistic is a person.
Behind every registration is a story.
Behind every Bible study is someone searching.
And behind every baptism is a life that can be transformed by Jesus Christ.
That’s why we EvangeLead.
